Boots, Hats & Chaps: WildWest Rides into Town

Get ready to ride up and rodeo!
Contents
A bit of the Wild West rides up in Bristol in July!
Looking for an excuse to dust off, ride up ‘n’ rodeo and “yee ha!” your way to a leather night? WE have the anwser - a leather night out with a twist. Be a leather cowboy!
And who can resist a rugged steer?
Pointed boots, shiny chaps on over some butt hugging Levi’s (or for the more authentic Western look try thigh grabbing, bulge inducing Wranglers), a figure hugging, chest protruding waistcoat, finished off perfectly with a cowboy hat. He’s cute, his manly stubble suggests he’s somewhat raw and having been out ranching across prairies, in those mountains and deserts for a few weeks he’s back in town looking to kick back, relax and blow off some coiled-up tension down at the saloon. You got it!!
Leather Wild West rides-up at The Den in the heart of Bristol’s gay quarter, Old Market, in July, promising to give local leather guys an excuse to saddle up and “wear your leather in a ‘lighter’ way for the summer, with a cowboy twist….a bit of fun and something a little different.”
So - what to wear for this rodeo, you cowboys?
As a Leatherman’s event, naturally there’s a dresscode. Here’s a guide for you. Remember - if you don’t meet the dresscode, you won’t get into the Saloon to ride-up-and-rodeo with the other cowboys! Follow the links at the foot of the page for directions for suppliers, etc.
Leather Cowboy - hot!
Black and brown leather chaps over jeans (Levi’s are popular, Wrangler’s the choice of western wear for a cowboy), cowboy boots or harness boots (you know, the one’s with a square toe and a heel), ‘western style’ shirt (check, traditional or denim), with or without a waistcoat (leather preferred) and topped off with a fine cowboy (Stetson) or rangers hat.
Bandana and bolo tie optional, but great for the final look. (You can for an alternative wear a plain white ‘n tight T-shirt - best worn with a bandana around the neck)
Western Leather look - horny!
Black or brown leather jeans with boots (cowboy, western, harness), together with a shirt (check, western or denim), with or without a (leather or western style) waistcoat, maybe topped off with a hat, bandana, etc
Denim cowboy - raunchy!
Levi’s or Wrangler’s with boots (as before) ‘western style’ or denim shirt, without or without a waistcoat (black or brown leather would look good as well as a brown suede traditional one) best worn together with a cowboy or ranching hat and a bandada here wouldn’t go a miss either to complete the look.
The big NO! NO!
What’s not allowed: the door will refuse entry to ‘fancy dress cowboy kit wear’. You know the ones, under a tenner form Argos and the like. Although we appreciate it’s cheap. But it doesn’t look good and you certainly won’t feel your best and horny wearing ‘imitation fancy dress’ among a crowd of dressed to ride ‘n’ rodeo cowboys! So, it’s a no no - a big NO NO! It’s not a gathering of the local amateur dramatic group’s production of Oklahoma either! (Although Hugh Jackman managed to make the look work for him!)

Raising money for good causes.
We’re also be holding a raffle at the Wild West with great ‘gay cowboy prizes’ for the lucky winners.to raise much needed funds for Gay Men Fighting Aids (GMFA) - who do great work in the fight against HIV and AIDS, regularly holding free courses in Bristol and Exeter on subjects as diverse as The Sex Course, to smoking cessation and one course that wetted our appetite, Bondage and SM Course and Master Class, a course about basic bondage to advanced leather and a bit of pup play!
All profits will go to support the work of GMFA in the community - and funds are needed, after news this year of serious cuts in taxpayer funded grants to HIV information services. So dig deep in those pockets and help raise money for a solid cause - come on guys lets help our own!
