Cardiff is the capital city of Wales and as such it benefits from a vibrant community and city atmosphere while enjoying spectacular surrounding scenery. The city has a great mix of gay venues, clubs and gay-friendly accommodation and there is a defininate cosmopoliant feel to the city, helped by recent regeneration projects and investments. Getting to Cardiff
Cardiff Central is the main railway station for Cardiff and is right in the heart of the city and near the Millennium Stadium and within walking distance of many venues.
Cardiff Bay is Cardiff’s smaller second railway station and is in the south of the city. It is still relatively central and handy for the Bay area, but you may wish to hop in a taxi if you’re heading to other areas.
First Great Western is the main railway company that serves the west country.
Cardiff Bus Station is located near to Cardiff Central railway station and is handy for the main centre of the city. Many companies operation out of the station.
Cardiff Bus is the main local operator for Cardiff’s bus service.
National Express run services to Cardiff from all major cities in the UK.
Greyhound also operation a service to and from Cardiff.
MegaBus serves Cardiff and will drop you off either at Cardiff University Park Place or at the junction of Kingsway and Boulevard de Nantes depending on your starting destination.
Cardiff Airport is located about twelve miles west from central Cardiff. The A4226 runs from the airport eastwards towards the city. There are regular buses from the airport to the centre of Cardiff - Cardiff Airport Express (T9) New Adventure Travel Service 95 and Service 905). See the Vale of Glamorgan Council website for more.
