From the birth of the motorcycle, men have needed to protect themselves and leather was a natural choice. Orginally adapted from the army tank corps clothing following World War I, biker leathers evolved from the short leather coats to the fitted padded jackets we see today.

Nothing did more for the image of a masculine biker in leather than the classic image of Marlon Brando in The Wild One (1954) who wore the classic American Perfecto jacket with epaulettes and an asymmetrical zipped front. This iconic jacket was created by Irving Schott in 1928 and is still made today.

As motorcycling developed into a sport, so sporting racing leathers and one piece racing suits were designed. British racing champion, Geoff Duke was the first to wear a one piece suit which he had designed in order to become more streamlined.

Leathermen have the choice of two biker styles - the classic or the sports biker. Both are always in fashion and look good on or off a bike!
