Those pioneers of America’s Wild West certainly knew a thing about how to combine the practicalities of leather with a great dress sense. The iconic image of a rugged man in leather chaps and Stetson striding through town in his sharp boots is one many of us find attractive. The cowboy look isn’t confined these days to the history books or to western films, its influence can be found everywhere. Take a look at the range of boots (both square and pointed) that high street shops stock; the range wide, big buckled belts that find themselves wrapped around tight 501 jeans - not to mention the increase popularity of hats for men.
To achieve a classic leather cowboy look, slip into a well fitted pair of denim jeans and pull on a pair of leather chaps over the top. Team this with a checked or denim shirt, leather waistcoat and finish the outfit off with heeled boots, a statement belt and a wide brimmed Stetson. Yea-ha!
