Bristol Pride 2014 | Leather on Parade Gallery

Leather on parade at Bristol Pride exceeded all hopes and expectations, reports Sam Benger.

Greater numbers than expected. Capturing the attention and imagination of the crowds. Twitter went into a frenzy live during the parade, highlighting leathermen in the West: “The hottest men in town.”, “Kings of pride!!!”, “..the highlight of pride..”, and a simple one word tweet that sums-it-up: “Awesome”.

LeatherWest has trawled through Facebook and other social platforms and captured pictures by people at Bristol Pride to bring you the best snaps from the day! If we find more - we’ll add them. So come back and have a look!

It was a great weekend, and a very Proud one; an honour to be in the march with some fine leather gents. It takes a sense of personal acceptance and strength to make that second ‘coming out’, and I’m honoured to have been a tiny part of the brotherhood that helped give strength.

Certainly agree with both Karl and David - the weekend just ‘worked’ so well and on so many levels. A good turn-out for the Parade and not just the LW leathermen but some rubbery ones (yum), bears and rubbery bears hehehe. The reaction of the crowd and the photo calls would have many an A-list celebrity green with envy lol LeatherWest tent was busy and pretty sure we made a positive impression on Bristol.

Bluf #7 in October will be the anniversary of my first year with the Bristol Crowd and of course LeatherWest guys who made me feel so welcome last October. So now I am almost part of the furniture (!!) and putting something back as we grow bigger, better and stronger. #FreedomToWearLeather
