UNION Leather nights designed for all the tribes of leather to come together: BLUF, bikers, street, pups, Masters, boys, leather skins, urban and leatherbears.

UNION Leather returns for its “#LeatherXmas” edition on Saturday 13th December in underground of the cellars of the The Retreat. Plenty of enquirers from leathermen about what they can wear and what goes on, with some talk about a possible appearance by ‘Bad Santa’.

The festive season gets into full swing and leathermen in the West get their own opportunity to put their own leather into Christmas. Already promising free shots of a favourite tipple for those on entry with some seasonal eats, a warm seasonal welcome awaits.

Questions also continue to arrive at LeatherWest about the dresscode and about UNION in general: first of all the tribes of leather are welcome: bikers were a popular theme last time, however leather skins are taking an interest, the BLUF/Officer look to the pups with the handlers too. Chaps over jeans has always been a horny look. We’re also picking up a trend in interest in the ‘leather cop’ look. Cop shirts with jeans and a waistcoat has been a classic look for eons and a look we definitely want to encourage develop in the LeatherWest region.

QUESTION: Does this sort of thing happen at UNION?” ANSWER: “YES it does!”

Looking at the Facebook event page, numbers are building nicely for the Christmas edition of UNION.

At the recent Leather Market and Southern HiBEARnation’s Christmas Indoor Market, there were plenty of guys asking questions and wanting to come along.

There’s certainly an upsurge of interest in ‘getting in to leather’ and this is represented equally across all age groups which is line with LeatherWest’s policy if “no one being left behind”.

Now, whether it’s the Christmas Season, or guys looking back at the year and looking for some…erm…let’s call it a different kind of fun, there’s been some talk of ‘Bad Santa’ potentially visiting this UNION.

For some guys, already they are saying they’ve been” bad this year” - probably on purpose. Rumours abound of the Christmas anti-hero arriving with floggers, whips and paddles, to punish errant leathermen and boys. After paying witness to the “interactive art installation” on the pool table at BLUF over the Bristol Leather Weekend, some guys seem to want to gladly volunteer to submit to Bad Santa across this pop-up ‘alter to correction’.

Whatever happens, should Bad Santa make a presence or not, there’s going to be a real good festive cheer on Saturday 13th.

Remember this is an exclusive space where the dresscode is applied.

We’ve had to turn back many a man before who simply read the dresscode rules, but felt it may not apply to them.

It does. To everyone. No exceptions.

It’s leather: that means, no sports wear, no wrestling kit, no neoprene and rubber only in the case that it is mixed with leather!

Saturday, underground in the cellars of The Retreat, doors open 10pm to 2am. £8 entry.
