UNION, launched by LeatherWest a year ago, is a leather night designed to bring “all the tribes of leather together in union”. Be they pups and handlers, bikers on or off their bikes, full on leather uniformed BLUF men, leather skins with 20 hole boots demanding attention or daddies and their lads in tow - not forgetting the ‘new to leather’ men and the curious.

UNION is gaining a reputation. The recent Bristol UNION (it first birthday) attracted its biggest crowd so far and local leather men didn’t disappoint. Now it’s the turn of Bournemouth.

Leatherwest was always keen to cover the South West quadrant of the UK and Bournemouth is one of the biggest population centres in the LeatherWest region. With a significant number of leather men, it is timely that UNION goes on the road to the coast.

Leatherwest’s Tim ‘Black Arrow’, one of the organising team, says, “There’s a significant numbers of leather guys who reside along the Dorset and Hampshire coast. Bournemouth-Poole-Christchurch matches the population of Cardiff. So our research told us there was an eager market and a hunger for a leather night. We sounded a few guys out locally and sure enough, Dorset leather men were keen to ‘see something happen’ in the area.”

Leatherwest’s Tim and Marcus ‘Ramcelt’ report that there has been a flow of emails and messages into LeatherWest about the dresscode. “Generally it is a simple rule,” says Marcus. “In order to encourage all leather guys, from those starting out to the veteran leather man, a minimum one piece of leather outerwear is required - excluding trainers”.

UNION takes place at G Bar in Bournemouth and LeatherWest are offering free entry to this pilot event. However, you will need a ticket to gain entry and guys are encouraged to register to get their eTicket now to avoid disappointment as the venue has limited capacity.

“LeatherWest are making this investment into Bournemouth to encourage leather men to get into their gear and get out there to meet other men,” says Tim. “If successful and there’s a demand for more, UNION will return to the seaside some time later in the year”.

He also hints that some ‘intelligence’ (or is that leather talk?) from the bar is pointing to some “excitement” amongst Bournemouth leather men about “what to wear”, which he says, “is all pointing to a good turn out for next Saturday.”

To help give leather men and lads some ideas on what they can wear for UNION, LeatherWest has launch a new feed on Pinterest, with galleries illustrating all manner of the wide range of ‘tribes’ guys can opt for. With over 4,000 images, leather men will be spoilt for choice by this rich, horny, salacious resource. Hop on over and take a look!

UNION Leather opens its doors at 9pm on Saturday 28th March at G Bar.
