Just like the spring sees the sap rising in trees, February sees fetish men from across Europe rise after the dark winter and come together in one of the biggest fetish events of its kind.
Antwerp is the host city for Belgium Leather Pride, which from the 15th to 20th February sees the 8th edition of Leather & Fetish Pride Belgium. The 2017 edition marks a milestone in the event’s history - the venue will be doubling its capacity to over 5,000 square meters, meaning Belgium Leather Pride becomes the biggest gay fetish production in Europe. Current indicators suggest visitor numbers of between 5,000 and 7,500 for the weekend! This is one not to be missed.
A key part of the event is Darklands - the world’s only indoor gay fetish festival. It offers a safe haven for adventurous gay men who are looking to expand their sexual horizons.
Your entry ticket (€15 pre-sale) is valid for all three days for Darklands! There are no extra charges for workshops or film screenings. As well as offering a place to meet other visitors or catch-up with new friends, Darklands features free fetish demonstrations and workshops, the fetish market, and a great line-up of shows, porn actors, DJs, and performers. A selection of bars and food options are available.
In addition to the regular Saturday and Sunday opening, Darklands will also be open on Friday evening for Leather & Fetish Pride 2017. Get your shopping spree in early, or have dinner at our full-service restaurant.
LeatherWest will be standing alongside UK Leather Pride in the Market at Darklands and will be hosting a very special Leather Social event, so come along and introduce yourself.
On your first visit to Darklands, you can ask for our special Leather & Fetish Pride voucher. Selected vendors in the market will give you a €5 discount on Sunday on presentation.

How to get there
Antwerp is an easy city to get to from most places in Europe, being well served by a magnificent railway station that is well worth a visit in its own right.
By car
From the UK, it’s about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour easy drive from Calais and if there is a few of you, it’s probably the most economic way of getting there. Grab an early morning ferry across the channel (or take the tunnel) and you’ll be there by lunchtime. Alternatively, break up your journey with a late crossing and stay overnight in France at a motel before taking a leisurely drive up to Antwerp. If you’re taking a car, then you might want to spend some time in Ghent or Bruges on your way back.
By train
Taking the Eurostar across to the convenient is easy and fast. Pick up the train to Brussels either at St Pancrass in London or at Ebbsfleet in Kent. At Brussels, transfer to an Antwerp bound train and 45 mins later you’ll be in town. Currently prices for Eurostar to Brussels start at about £30 one way.
By air
Antwerp does have an international airport and is served from London City Airport. Depending on which airport is your nearest, you may want to change at London, or use Amsterdam as a stop-over point. You may look into direct flights to Brussels and catch the train up to Antwerp.
